Break free from addiction, rebuild trust with yourself and others, and finally live the life you were meant to live — starting today. Available worldwide via secure virtual coaching.
If you’ve tried to quit before—or even made it a few months—only to fall back into old patterns, I get it. Addiction isn’t about weakness. It’s about pain, trauma, and deeply embedded habit loops that feel impossible to escape.
I've been there. I spent 26 years in addiction — and I've spent every year since building a recovery approach that fuses science, strategy, and soul. With a background in neuro-diagnostics at a tertiary care hospital, and deep experience in addiction psychology, trauma, and family systems, I now help clients recover in a way that feels human — and that actually works.
Here’s how we can start together ➡️
My coaching is neuroscience-informed, trauma-aware, and compassion-driven. It’s not about telling you what to do. It’s about helping you understand why you do what you do — and showing you how to rewire it.
What “Neuroscience-Based Coaching” Means
This isn't therapy — it's transformation. My work is grounded in research-backed strategies from the fields of neuroscience, trauma recovery, and behavioral psychology. Here’s what that looks like in real life:
Brain Science That Builds Change
Addiction impacts your dopamine system, stress response, and executive function. We use recovery coaching techniques that support brain healing, habit reformation, and decision-making.Cognitive Behavioral Techniques (CBT)
We identify the thought traps that fuel cravings, sabotage, and shame — and learn how to shift them into clarity, confidence, and forward movement.SMART Recovery & Relapse Prevention Tools
I use proven relapse prevention strategies including urge-surfing, functional analysis, and behavioral reinforcement — tailored to your life.Trauma-Informed Support
I don’t see addiction as a moral failure — I see it as a survival strategy. Together, we gently unpack what’s underneath the use so you can feel safe, stable, and strong without it.Somatic and Nervous System Awareness
Healing isn't just mental — it's physical. I teach tools for calming the body, reducing reactivity, and building a sense of internal safety so change actually sticks.Relational and Codependency Coaching
We’ll work on boundaries, healthy relationships, and identity — especially if you’ve lost yourself in caregiving, people-pleasing, or dysfunctional dynamics.

How Neuroscience-Informed Coaching Drives Change
Your brain has the ability to rewire itself — even after decades of addiction. My approach uses the principles of neuroplasticity, nervous system regulation, and behavioral science to help you:
Interrupt destructive thought loops and triggers
Restore dopamine, motivation, and executive functioning
Build safe, sustainable routines that retrain your brain toward stability
Here’s how evidence-based modalities are used throughout your coaching:
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – Thought tracking, behavioral re-patterning, and relapse prevention
• SMART Recovery Tools – Functional analysis, urge surfing, emotional regulation
• Narrative Identity Coaching – Rebuilding your personal story, purpose, and future identity
• Neuroscience Education – Understanding the addiction brain and how recovery affects your nervous system
• Trauma-Informed Techniques – Creating safety, regulating overwhelm, and healing shame
• Family Systems Theory – Repairing generational roles and unhealthy dynamics
• Codependency Recovery Models – Reclaiming boundaries and autonomy in relationships
• Somatic Awareness – Using breath, posture, and grounding to regulate emotions in the body
Break free from addiction and start a new relationship with yourself today!
When I realized that I had to seek external help to tackle my addiction, it was difficult to find the right fit for me. While my wife knew I was struggling with alcohol abuse, the rest of my environment—especially my employees, clients, and business partners—didn't. Since alcoholism is still stigmatized, I couldn’t afford to come out, as it could have easily ruined my reputation and my family’s livelihood. I carefully browsed the web and social media channels, looking for the right fit to approach my problem. That’s when I first came across Aaron Gleadow, also known as Detox Junkie. His story, professional background, and unprejudiced approach impressed me right away. Although it took me another four weeks before I reached out to Aaron personally, his social media presence helped me gain a better grip on my problem and start believing that I could overcome my addiction, just as Aaron did so bravely.
For me, as a business executive, discretion, privacy, and trust were of utmost importance. During our first introductory session, Aaron immediately put me at ease, assuring me that he would handle my case with the utmost discretion. He was eager to help and support me, even accepting that I used an alias at first.
Now, six months later, Aaron knows almost everything about me, including my real name, my business affairs, and my family. He was the reason I was able to get my addiction under control, and we became friends throughout my transformation journey. Thanks to Aaron and his deep understanding of the roots of addiction, I was able to uncover the deeply hidden causes of my alcohol abuse, which was a symptom of a severe inner conflict.
I’m not exaggerating when I say that, with Aaron's help, I gained the life I always wanted to live—sober, self-aware, and happy. I am a better father, husband, businessman, and entrepreneur than I ever was before. Aaron helped me do the work necessary to achieve this, and I am beyond grateful.
I can highly recommend working with Aaron, especially for successful career individuals who cannot afford public attention regarding their addiction. Aaron handled everything discreetly from day one. He is a true professional, and I’m proud to call him my friend.
